Dr. Josh Paxton

CHIROPRACTOR & CLINIC DIRECTOR

Hello! I’m Dr. Paxton, and I am glad you stopped by. I’m a native of Rome, GA where I grew up as a Chiropractic kid. I was adjusted just moments after birth. My father is a Chiropractor, and my late brother was a Chiropractor.

I am married to Jess, the woman of my dreams, and we have three amazing, healthy, and well-adjusted boys: Caleb, Eli, and Isaiah.

I graduated from Life University College of undergraduate studies, in Marietta, GA with a B.S. degree in nutrition; this was key in helping me develop a vast understanding about healthy dietary habits to assist in optimal wellness. I then continued on at Life University to the College of Chiropractic where I obtained my doctorate (D.C.) in Chiropractic. I also hold an Emergency Medical Technician license from Coosa Valley Tech in Rome, GA. When combined with my experience, I am well-versed in the human body and what it takes to reach true, optimal health.

My wife and I opened up Pax Family Chiropractic in July 2010. Before that, I worked as a Chiropractor in Calhoun, GA. I consider it a true honor to serve our community through Chiropractic.

I am often asked the question, “Dr. Paxton, what areas do you specialize in?” My answer is simple, “I specialize in people with spines!” Throughout the years, I have helped people with many conditions ranging from headaches, neck and back pain, pregnancy discomfort, neurodivergencies, dysautonomia, acid reflux, and much more.

I look forward to helping you along your health journey as well!

Dr. Leland Wear

CHIROPRACTOR

As a young man and adrenaline junkie I was very active and pushed myself to my limits far too often with little regard to the effects that it had on my health. I worked multiple labor-intensive jobs, played every sport I could, and slept when I had to. This lifestyle led to back pain that progressively became more frequent and debilitating over time.

I worked multiple labor-intensive jobs, played every sport I could, and slept when I had to. This lifestyle led to back pain that progressively became more frequent and debilitating over time.

As a final resort I heeded the advice of a friend and was treated by a local chiropractor, which, surprisingly, helped tremendously. At this point I had known for some time that I wanted to become a healthcare professional and this experience with a chiropractor intrigued me. Before long I discovered that God was calling me to the chiropractic profession so that He could use me to help others regain their health and vitality. The road was a bumpy one, but God opened and closed doors to lead along my journey to first become a Licensed Massage Therapist and then a Chiropractor.

Now more than a decade into my career as a Chiropractor, I am the proud husband to my beautiful wife Amy, and father of three amazing children, Brenden, Brianna, and Bailey. As a family, we enjoy camping, hiking, board games, music, and being involved in church related activities. Though I still enjoy playing most sports, a balanced life has become my aspiration. As God continues to lead in my journey, I am truly blessed to be a part of the team here at Pax Family Chiropractic.

Dr. Alexis Love

CHIROPRACTOR

At an early age, God placed in my heart the desire to serve people. At the age of ten and eleven, I underwent hip surgeries. From that experience, the desire to help people similar to the doctors and nurses who helped me began. I earned my Bachelor’s of Science degree in Exercise Science from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia in 2018. During my time at Liberty University, I discovered my true calling in the field of Chiropractic. I was drawn to the holistic approach to care and the focus on addressing the root causes of disease and promote overall healing.

Taking my passion further, I pursued my Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Life University and successfully completed my studies in December of 2022.

My educational journey equipped me with a solid foundation of knowledge and skills to provide effective and compassionate care to my patients.

Outside of the office, I cherish my time spent with my family and friends. I enjoy immersing myself in the therapeutic power of music; a good book, and traveling.

Additionally, I delight in watching sports events. I’m so thankful God has given me the desire to serve His people through Chiropractic. Through this opportunity, I am able to help people improve their health and well-being which is a meaningful way to be an instrument of God’s love. I’m so honored to serve the patients at Pax Family Chiropractic.

Crystal Christian

Practice Administrator

My name is Crystal Christian and I am a wife, a mother of two boys, and a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. I have a powerful testimony of how God rescued me from a long addiction to pain medication and restored everything in my life. I am very active in my local church community, where I share my story and encourage others to trust in God’s grace and healing. In 2017 God delivered me from over 10 years of drug addiction. It was not easy, but God gave me the strength and the support I needed. However, I faced another challenge when I suffered from severe back pain. I did not want to rely on drugs again, so I sought a natural and holistic solution. I found PAX Family Chiropractic, where I received chiropractic care that helped me live pain-free and drug-free. I was so impressed by the results that I joined the PAX team as an employee. I love working in an environment where I can help people achieve their best health and wellness without drugs. I am a living example of God’s love and power, and I am passionate about spreading hope and joy to everyone I meet.

Angelina Tidwell

Front Office Coordinator

Hi! My name is Angelina. I’m originally from Tampa,FL but fell in love with the Ringgold area over a decade ago. A few things I enjoy would be music, the outdoors, and spending time with my family and friends.

My love for Chiropractic started at a young age when I was undergoing treatment after a bad motor vehicle accident. Because of Chiropractic care my body was able to make an advantageous and proper recovery!

I couldn't be more thankful or passionate about supporting such a prominent field and upholding the mission here at Pax Family Chiropractic.

Cailey Sinclair

Director of Community Outreach

My passion for chiropractic started from my own journey through being a patient at our office in 2021. At that time, I had just turned 25 and was in poor health. I was seeing many specialists, traveling to different hospitals across the country where they did countless tests, biopsies, and surgeries. I was diagnosed with Dysautonomia (POTS) in 2018 where I was told there was nothing that could be done to treat the condition. I was placed on 37 medications over a period of 3 years and told that I would have to learn to live with it because there was not much they could do.

Due to my body being in constant fight or flight, it started affecting other organs in my body leading me to a possible kidney transplant. Days before I was supposed to fly out to meet with a surgeon, the Lord led me to PFC. Chiropractic care gave me a new life where I am now FREE of all medications and by the grace of God, did not have to move forward with a kidney transplant and have regained my health. I want to give others the same opportunity that I was given to turn my life around, by sharing the life changing benefits of chiropractic care through my position here at PFC. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing with our dogs, exercising, reading, and furthering my knowledge through research on health and wellness.

Angela Hasty

Front Desk Coordinator

Hello! My name is Angela Hasty. I am a wife and homeschool mom of 5. I fell in love with the chiropractic lifestyle in 2010 when I became a parent and a patient for the first time. It has helped me achieve healthy pregnancies and births with 4 of my babies, including 2 home births after a cesarean with my first baby. Beginning each of their lives with chiropractic for optimal health and wellness has been a true blessing. I began working at PFC in the insurance billing department in 2014 and I have been so thankful for the education and experience this opportunity has given me. The team of doctors at Pax Family and their passion to help people of all ages achieve a healthy, drug-free, pain-free life have made a lasting impact in the lives of my family and so many others.
